This is going to be a very short post. I just wanted to share with anyone who reads this blog that I’m going to see Kaiser Chiefs in Amsterdam at the 16th of February, 2009! I’m so happy!

Also, I managed to get myself tickets for a show of the Ashton Brothers in May! That’s absolutely brilliant. =D

RAWR! ^
*insert happy dance here*

We’re going down the wrong road and it doesn’t even matter…
I have the new album by Kaiser Chiefs, Off With Their Heads. It is supposed to be released on the 20th of October, but I have downloaded the leaked version of it (yes, I’m a thief, occasionally!) so I can sing along with all the songs once the album is in the shops.
So what does Yours Truly, Kaiser Fan since early 2005, think of it? Well… After listening to the album a few times I must admit that I’m a bit disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good album by itself albeit a bit short, but I just don’t move me that much. Perhaps I need to grow into it, I don’t know. The songs Tomato In The Rain, Remember You’re A Girl and Good Days Bad Days are my favourite so far, and are definetaly worth a listen.
Still, I love Kaiser Chiefs. And the reason why, that’s a secret to everybody!
In my last blog, I forgot to tell about my (in)famous birthday party. Chris, Eric, Daniel, Sambalbal and Geert were so kind to come. We ate lots of food and drank beer and played games on the Nintendo Wii and…. ROFLMAO! The most random thing which we said the whole day. Roflmao. Don’t ask. We’re a bit odd. Anyways, here’s a picture compilation for your viewing pleasure.

As for life, I’ve been doing okay, but I find myself often lost in thought. I’m not sure about what I want to achieve in life. I don’t know why I feel like there’s something missing, and I can’t seem to put my finger on it. Why have I lost interests in certain things, and since when did they seem to be so pointless. Why do I want to be good at things I am not, and what will happen if I’ll never be able to be good at it. What will that do to me? There’s just so many questions in my head right now. Forgive my randomness.
We’re living in the wrong time but it doesn’t even matter…

Oh boy, I was enjoying myself so much during the holidays that I couldn’t be arsed to blog… I wanted to make my return with a funky new layout but errr, don’t have enough art mojo it seems. Anyways, I’m back for now and hopefully I’ll stick around for a while, hee hee.
Though some shitty things happened, my holiday was pretty much amazing, yet very simple and low budget :P Let’s kick off with the shitty things, shall we?
- The graphic card of my computer died on me in the middle of the summer, whilst I was fully enjoying gaming! Oh noes! My computer was pretty old, slow and lame for nowaydays computer standards anyway, so I bought a brand new kick arse computer! That’s the only part of my holiday that hasn’t been that low budget…
- I bought new cupboards, which is more yay! than shit, BUT… Whilst putting the cupboards together, I accidentally damaged my floor. It has these huge scratches in it now. Oops. Oh, not to mention the proces of putting my wardrobe together… the sides just didn’t fit into the frame. It turned out that I had put some parts the wrong way around. ^^;;
- I didn’t get any tickets to see the Ashton Brothers! :’(
As for the good things…
- I bought myself a ball-jointed doll. Click the link to have a look at Caleb. He’s a bit camp :D I’m currently saving money to get him a (camp) partner.
- One of my best friends got his own car, so we’ve been cruising around lots. A car is so cool, not as cool as a motorcycle though >:D
- I have a Nintendo Wii. The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess = love. I feel so heroic when I shake my wii mote around like mad to get a monster down ingame.
- I’ve got a new computer! :D
- I’ve got new cupboards, a wardrobe and a matras. I love the cupboards, finally no more cd’s and books that are scattered around my room.
- I’ve got the complete Saiyuki anime on dvd! Nanda yo! >:D
- Items bough during a random shopping spree; lots of hats (mad hatter!), new jumpers, cardigan, legend of zelda gba game, sims expansion packs, new sunglasses (aviator style, rawr!), posters, bags, mangas, books and of course lots of albums…
- I have several books about the Japanese language. Dirty Japanese is definitely my favourite. atashi o atsukaeru otoko nanka inai. Cookies for the one that can translate this without using google or a dictionary :P
- I even went shopping with Chris in ‘the big city’ of Zwolle. I am now the proud owner of a genuine Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club - Beatles bag (big thanks to Chris for spotting it for me)! The photo that is on the front contains all four beatles, with tache 8D
All together now! “Sergeants Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, we hope you have enjoyed the show…!” After 19 years, Yours Truly has finally come around to appreciate music by the Beatles. ^^;
Thou shalt not forget random things!
- Music; Placebo is working on their 6th album with their new drummer! Hurray! Both Keane and Franz “Fucking” Ferdinand will be releasing their third album this year. I recomment thee to listen to the new song ‘Lucid Dreams’ By Franz Ferdinand. Franz is back!
However, Kaiser Chiefs will also be releasing a third album, Off With Their Heads, on October 13th. The Kaiser Chiefs fan that I am, I MUST get the album. Spanish Metal? Tomato In The Rain? Sound like pretty class song titles to me! <33 - To anyone that catches up upon KC reguraly; Mr Hogdson has finally come around to get rid of the tache. Because no one wants to look like a cheap imitation of Brandon Flowers… hehehe.
- Games: World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King will be released this year (I must admit I’ve been bored with the game for quite some time). Give up your life kiddies as there will be a lot of new content to explore!
Guitar Hero 4 is also a game I am looking forward to, since there will not only be guitars, but this odd looking drumkit thing! I’m still trying to become the next drum prodigy. Fable 2 is going to be wicked too, just like Spore! Last but not least; Sims 3 is coming to a hood near you on February 19th, 2009. Vanuchi!
That’s it for now folks! Until next time! :)

HEY! This post’ title comes from a song by the Ting Tings. I really adore that song right now, the bass and guitar lines are quite simple yet wicked, then there’s some effective “HEY!” shouts and oh! It’s mind-boggling awesome! I also like Fruit Machine and That’s Not My Name… Yay for the Ting Tings! HEY!
I’ve been digging up some of my albums that I have neglected for a while, such as the album You Cross My Path by the Charlatans. The Charlatans don’t get as much love as they deserve, really. They’ve been around for ages, though basically no one outside of the UK has ever heard of them. Such a shame.
Also I’m quite ashtonished by the fact that I do own lots of genuine albums, not just downloads. I don’t have a place to store them all, the shelves of my cupboard are crammed! I guess that means it’s time to move on to a bigger cupboard, haha!
The weather is quite shite, too hot for my likings. Yesterday I had a dentist appointment, I got all sweaty just by cycling to that silly dentist! Luckily I had no cavities, so that made the sweaty trip somewhat worthwile. I get a bit puzzled when people tell me they are scared of the dentist, not that I’m fond of seeing the bloke, but I aren’t terrified either. Usually I get hungry when I go to see the dentist, and I crave for lots of candy, crisps, chocolate and coke. That’s not good for your teeth I reckon.
Somewhere in the afternoon my best friend came over and we went to get ourselves some BIG milkshakes. I wish I didn’t, because I got nauseas and all that jazz. Oops!
School is going great, I’m getting lots of high marks, which is great. I did this year’s exam for English class, for fun, not an official mark. I got the highest score out of the whole class, while I didn’t even study for it. If the exam would be official, my mark would be a 9.2. I’m still flabbergasted about it. It does give a boost to my confidence when it comes to studying English in the future. I’m very well aware that I make lots of grammar and spelling errors (my blog posts are just horror!), but at least it’s a good start.
However, if I really had some talent, I wouldn’t go study English. I’d take my chances and have a go at The Academy of Musical, Theatre & Cabaret in Amsterdam. Just like my current heroes, the Ashton Brothers.
Speaking of Ashton Brothers, I hope to see them on stage in October. <3 I’ll keep my fingers since I haven’t obtained a ticket yet!
And happy birthday to meeeeeee! I’m 19 years old now. Wow.
I’ve changed my mind and I will actually be throwing a birthday party this year, for my closest friends, just like I did last year. I can’t wait to see Buddie, favourite-Eric, Sambalbal and Apple Turnover! (Don’t ask about them silly names though.) I do have a feeling that I’ll get pissed off my arse this year, since I got a giant bottle of whiskey as a birthday present. Of course I have to make use of the gift that has been given to me. Hahaha!

Wow, I’m actually blogging in the morning! It’s been ages since I could do that. It’ll probably be the last time too though, because starting next week I will be at school every day (apart from Saturdays and Sundays if course =P) from 9 am till 3 pm. I’m taking 5 classes for my exams next year; Geography, Biology, History, Dutch and English. Geography is the most annoying class to take in my opinion. Yesterday I got these pictures, and I was supposed to tell where the pictures were taken (could be anywhere in the Netherlands) by recognizing the landscape and ground type. That’s bloody hard! >.<
I’m still going to te gym once a week with a friend of mine. I’m also having this archery class therapy once a week. It’s wicked but I’m so lame at shooting. I have a talent for shooting arrows in brick walls XD
Kaiser Chiefs are recording! Yay! XD
Some other good music; Morrissey, The Cure and Parka. Disco dancer, disco dancer, I want to dance with yooooooooooooou! :D
13 days to go till my birthday =( Yuck. I’m not having a birthdayparty this year, I’m not aging :P Nu uh!
